Bible Resources
This week’s FAQ:
Pastor Scott was talking so fast in the sermon on Sunday that I didn’t get the web addresses for the cool Bible stuff. No problem. We’re still debating whether it was the Holy Spirit or the caffeine, but either way there are a lot of very helpful resources for getting started or re-started with the Bible.
Here are five:
- An interactive digital Bible for your computer and (in 2011) other devices like your iPhone or Droid: www.bibleglo.com
- Bible reading plans including the innovative “two week guided tour of the Bible”.
- For the “Powered By 4” e-mails sent to you or the “411 for God” voicemail of Scripture each day, go to centerforbibleengagement.org.
- An example of the dramatized audio version of Scripture. (there are several versions of audio dramatized Bibles in several translations and paraphrases. The New Living Translation or The Message paraphrase are sometimes a bit easier for listening)
- Visit YouVersion.com for a free online bible with multiple translations, commentary, and social features. They also have an app for iPhone and Android devices.
