Confirmation
Confirmation at Wheatland Salem provides an opportunity for students in 7th and 8th grade to claim their faith as their own. Teaching and discussion happens in small dynamic groups each lead by two adult guides who stay with the group for the full 2 years. The program also includes opportunities to worship and serve as well as special retreats each fall and spring.
Students explore the fundamental beliefs of Christianity and what it means to be a part of a faith community in order to know their story, confirm their faith and live their commitment.
What do you need to know?
- Confirmation is the continuation of one's faith journey--not an end unto itself.
- Confirmation is more than a series of classes. To make the most of their confirmation experience, students need to be fully engaged in the life of the church through worship, small groups, service and other ministry opportunities.
- Confirmation seeks to prepare students to live their everyday lives as Christ-followers.
