Serve The Community Day (STCD)
Saturday, May 05, 2012
Coordinator: Kim Neace
Are you interested in serving - being the hands and feet of Christ in the local community? Have you wondered what it might be like to serve outside the church and build relationships with others? Get together with your small group, your bible study group, your family, or ministry team to serve together. This is an opportunity for all ages to serve the local community.
The day starts off at church with a potluck breakfast at 8 a.m. with your serving team. Then, the teams head off to their various ministries. There are many options such as: Working with a local school; Working with seniors in Aurora and Naperville; Outdoor work in nature; Sewing projects (neck coolers and dresses for orphans in Haiti & Costa Rica); Working with a homeless shelter; and many more.
